Stuart Honored for Service
A retirement reception will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from 4-6 p.m. in the University Club for Rob Stuart, professor emeritus of English.
Stuart, who will be honored for his 35 years of service, joined the university in 1969.
During his service to the university, he served as chair of the English department, dean of graduate studies, associate director of the Jameson Center for the Study of Religion, secretary of the president's cabinet, secretary/treasurer of the university's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and secretary of the faculty club.
In 1994, Stuart received the Outstanding Teaching Award for Service, which recognizes faculty contributions outside the classroom on committees, serving the Alumni Association or working with student groups.
Currently Stuart is the director of the Retired Faculty Association.
