Little Tabs, Big Bucks for Charity

The Chemistry Club is collecting pull tabs from soda cans as part of a benefit for Loma Linda's Ronald McDonald House, which houses families when their children are being treated in area hospitals. Tabs may be delivered through April to chemistry professor Barbara Murray in Hedco Hall Room 210.

Last year, the club collected more than 16.2 million tabs, bringing in about $4,000 for the charity.

Holiday Donations Requested

The Staff Organization is asking individuals attending the Dec. 10 Holiday Luncheon to bring at least one non-perishable food item and an unwrapped toy.

Donations will go to Redlands Family Services. In mid-November, representatives of the non-profit organization reported that their shelves were almost empty.
