Condolences
Our sincerest condolences go out to our friends and colleagues who have recently lost loved ones...
Publications Manager Michelle Baty lost her grandfather in November.
Jerry Groshek, associate professor in the School of Business, lost his father recently.
Professor of Religious Studies Bill Huntley lost his father, William Barry Huntley, in October.
Michelle McBride, adjunct lead faculty in the School of Business, lost her mother in December.
Linda Owens, Web Designer in the Public Relations Office, lost her grandfather in December.
Congratulations
-Anita Savacool, conference programs and hospitality services director, gained a daughter-in-law in October, when her son, Michael, married Amy Puckett, a legislative assistant with the San Diego Unified School District.
-Jackie Valcourt, loan coordinator in the Business Office, ran in the Mission Inn 10K in November. Her time was 1:22:10. Way to go, Jackie!
-Sharilyn Bailey, director of Alumni Relations, got married in November to Press-Enterprise reporter John Berry. The wedding was held at a Redlands home while Berry was on a week's leave from his military duties as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army. Dr Paul Little performed the ceremony and they honeymooned during a three-day cross-country drive that allowed Berry to get his car to Georgia, where he is currently stationed.
Bailey plans to continue working at the University of Redlands and the couple expects to live in Redlands after Berry, a reservist, completes his active duty assignment in about two years.
