University mascot Jasper "Newton" Deacon became the proud papa of six heirs in the fall. The four male and two female English Bulldog puppies were born Oct. 15, 2000. The 4-year-old Newton lives in Redlands with his father, emeritus mascot UR Jasper Deacon of Pedley, who will turn 10 this year.
