Congratulations

Ryann Hartung, public relations specialist married Peter Moresi, Web architect for the Redlands Institute, on March 3 at Heisler Park in Laguna Beach. The couple honeymooned for 10 days in Maui.

 

Heather Morse, Redlands Fund associate director, was married on April 27 to Mark Hartley, former university employee. The wedding was held at Pine Creek Gardens in San Bernardino. The couple honeymooned while “cruising” to Mexico.

Systems Support Manager Nancy and her husband, Professor of Government Art Svenson, welcomed their 8-month-old daughter, Clara Cecelia “Cece” on March 31. “Cece” named for Nancy’s mother, Clara and Art’s mother, Cecelia, arrived after an almost two-year “adoption paper chase.”

The Svensons received their adoption referral in February and flew to Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province, on March 28 to be united with Cece. The family spent two weeks in China finalizing paperwork and getting to know one another.

The Svenson’s report, “We are still in awe of this joyful, beautiful baby and are so enjoying parenthood.”

Susan Martinez was promoted from University Club Manager to Director of Catering.

Groundsworker John Ostler won two first-place ribbons and one second-place ribbon at the 93rd Annual Redlands Horticultural Society Flower show last month.

Bulldogs Go to Camp
U of R

The Bulldog Youth Sports Camp will take place June 23-27, from 8 a.m. noon. “Campers” ages 8-14, are welcome to join in for a fun-filled week of sports fun. After an exciting variety of indoor and outdoor sports and games, the day ends with a dip the Thompson Aquatic pool.

Cost for the camp is $120 per child and includes instruction from University of Redlands coaches, a camp T-shirt and snacks.
