Bill Anderson, BSIS/MSIT program director, has
released a digitalSeminarsTM training CD, “Systems Analysis
& Design.” The 90-minute CD, published by the Pleier Corporation
in Mission Viejo, is geared toward both information technology and
business professionals and covers 30 learning objectives regarding
database design and systems analysis and design.
Associate Professor of Business Mak Kaboudan’s
article, “Modeling and Forecasting Dynamical Systems with
Genetic Programming,” has been accepted for publication in
the Taylor & Francis Journal, “Systems Analysis Modelling
Simulation.” The article will appear in early 2004.
Jim Pick, professor of business, was recently
appointed to a two-year term on the Executive Council of the Information
Resources Management Association. The international scholarly association
of information systems faculty supports an annual conference and
11 scholarly journals. He was appointed to the Data/GIS Task Force
of the Southern California Association of Governments, the region’s
largest metropolitan planning organization. Pick also was elected
to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees of the Berkeley Art
Museum/Pacific Film Archives of the University of California.
