Sexual Violence Awareness Week

Faculty Art Show. 43 shopping days left. An exhibition of New York by Charmaine Martinez. 11/12 through 12/12. Opening reception Wednesday, November 12, 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Peppers Art Gallery. Gallery hours: Tuesday-Friday 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Pterodactyls. A cutting edge comedy about systems of denial and the price they carry. 8p.m. November 13th-15th & 20th-22nd. 2 p.m. November 16th & 23rd. Glenn Wallichs Theatre.

Students, Faculty and staff are allowed one free ticket each to the Villanova Basketball Game scheduled November 22nd. S/F/S tickets will be available at 8 a.m. at the Campus Events window in Hunsaker Center. There are 350 tickets available while supplies last. Current ID required. An additional two tickets per person may be purchased Nov. 5th.

“Searching for Justice” with Lisa Salovesh Stern. A gripping true story of the human and legal drama that played out for 55 years until an insurance claim was finally settled. 6 p.m. Orton Center. Call Alumni Relations ext. 4011 for Information.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week. Anatomy of a doll. Terri Muuss will perform her poetic, one-woman piece detailing the dissociation from a daughter’s trauma and sexual abuse and the uses of substances as a way to cope. It reveals how healing from incest comes only through facing the devastation of the abuse. 7 pm Jasper's Corner

Lecture Series. The School of Education, Asian Studies, Philosophy, Johnston Center and Liberal Studies invite you to a public lecture: “Education Reform in China Today”. Presented by Professor Ouyang Kang, Assistant President, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. 4:10-5:40 p.m. Hall of Letters Room 100.

Lecture Series. Virginia Sapiro, the Sophonisba P. Breckenridge Professor of Political Science and Women’s Studies and Associate Vice Chancellor for Teaching and Learning at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will present a public lecture, “Do We Still Need Women’s Studies?” 7-8:30 p.m. University Club. Hosted by Phi Beta Kappa. Reservations are not necessary.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week. “The Children We Sacrifice” movie night. An independent film/documentary about incestuous sexual abuse if South Asian girls. 9 p.m. Hunsaker Center lounge area.
